If in your server setup local DNS, when I install zimbra DNS port(53) conflict with DNSCACHE port. So dnscache service not running. We shoultd turn off zimbra dns cache service. In zimbra account, we run cml;
# zmcontrol status
# zmprov ms `zmhostname` -zimbraServiceEnabled dnscache
# zmprov ms `zmhostname` -zimbraServiceInstalled dnscache
# zmcontrol status
